Originally I did a terrible job of documenting my sources. To be honest, I was more eager to get the maps drawn, because I was making them for my own use, not public use.  And proper documentation takes a LOT of time (which I'd rather spend drawing more maps!) 

 

I've always believed in sharing.  As a man on a budget, I have a huge appreciation for people who share their work instead of selling it to make money for themselves.  Out of respect to them, and the fact that it would be a shame to let all this work go to waste, I decided to make these maps available for free.  Hopefully they will help other people learn about history and get more interested. Even better yet, I hope they will persuade others to make their work (historical or not) available for free.  Besides, I've I knew I would eventually have to list my sources if this work is to be taken seriously.

 

When I finally did start listing my sources, I attempted to list them all on one page.  That page quickly became too large for practical online use, so I was forced to break it into 3 pages (based on era). Unfortunately these pages are becoming too large, so I may have to break them down even further!
